A sort of strange relationship yet totally normal at the same times comes into the spotlight during chapter 6. The identical (in every way) twins, Sam and Eric. Sam and Eric do everything together. The boys even refer to them as Samneric, because just one name seems to fit them better. They won’t even let the
other stay awake while they sleep. This could lead to many problems if Ralph
decides to rely on the boys. If they can’t push past their bond, they could
create extra obstacles in the future.
The two boys discover the beast for the first time and when telling the boys about it, many boys begin to believe them. I think now that two older kids have admitted to actually seeing the beast, that most of the older boys will begin to believe and become frightened. This could lead to many future problems on the island and possibly and whole new plot line.
